Terms of Service

By booking a service with Gentle Giants Removalist, you agree to the following terms.

Bookings & Quotes

  • Quotes are based on the information you provide. Inaccurate or incomplete details may affect the final price.

  • Additional charges may apply for stairs, difficult access, extra items or delays not caused by us.

Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed.

  • Accepted payment methods: card, bank transfer or cash.

  • Late payments may incur additional fees.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Safe and clear access to the property

  • Items are securely packed unless using our packing service

  • Fragile or valuable items are declared in advance

  • Pets, children and hazards are managed safely on site

We are not liable for damage to items packed by customers.

Liability

We take great care when handling your belongings, but we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Damage caused by poor packing (if packed by the customer)

  • Items not disclosed as fragile or high-value

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather or access restrictions

Any insurance claims must follow our insurer’s policy terms.

Delays

Arrival windows may vary due to jobs running over time, traffic or unexpected events.
We cannot offer compensation for delays outside our control.

Refusal of Service

We may refuse or cancel a job if conditions are unsafe, unlawful or unreasonable.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: 30% cancellation fee.

  • Same-day cancellations: Minimum 2-hour charge.

Rescheduling

  • Free if rescheduled more than 24 hours before the booking.

  • Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice is subject to availability.

Refunds

Refunds may be issued for:

  • Overpayments

  • Services not delivered due to our error

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Changing your mind after the job has started

  • Delays caused by access issues, traffic or weather

  • Damage to items packed by customers

  • Undisclosed fragile or high-value items

Arrival Windows

We always aim to arrive on time, but factors outside our control may affect schedules. Arrival windows are estimates, not guarantees.
